I’ve been translating texts for families, educators, and communities for more than a decade. I love using my skills to bring them resources that support the important work they carry in their hands.

Let's talk!

What defines my work

Mastery of Spanish

My goal in translation is not simply to transfer information, but to make every text read as if it had been written originally in Spanish. This is achieved not only by fully understanding the source language (English), but by having a true mastery of the target language. Knowing my own language so deeply allows me to take any idea, no matter how complex or subtle, and give it a natural, beautiful, and vibrant form.

Iniciative and Proactivity

At 18, I had the fortune of leaving school to dedicate myself to what I loved most: perfecting Spanish and English grammar. With years of practice, professional translation became my main activity. My self-taught path taught me not to settle for doubts or superficial instructions: I take initiative, research, and find answers on my own—always striving to give more than my clients expect.

Cultural Context and Empathy

The years I spent writing about homeschooling and accompanying many Latin American families gave me a deep understanding of the cultural contexts behind these issues. In addition, my experience as a children’s teacher and as a mother has given me sensitivity, empathy, and the ability to listen in order to connect with the perspective of the audience my work is meant for.

“Priscila Salazar has been part of our translation team since 2013, and throughout that time, we have been extremely happy with the excellence of her translations. She is diligent whenever there are doubts about appropriate expressions or errors in the original document. She has been professional in every aspect, and we have thoroughly enjoyed our working relationship”.

Shirley Adams, Latin America and the Caribbean Translation Coordinator Community Bible Study

“Working with Mrs. Priscila Salazar has transformed my Spanish program. She is an expert in Spanish language semantics and syntax, with impeccable attention to detail and a deep knowledge of Hispanic culture. Priscila Salazar takes the time to understand the vision and mission of the organization, seamlessly integrating it into her excellent work. I highly recommend her services for any organization or business in need of translations, editing, or any Spanish language-related work”.

Karim Morato, founder of Spanish Educational Solutions

“Priscila's services as a translator are excellent. Her high-quality translations demonstrate her ability to translate all types of content (from legal articles to educational blogs). Furthermore, she respects delivery times and always seeks to learn more about the company to improve her translations. I greatly appreciate having had the opportunity to work with her”.

Alicia Leal, Managing Bilingual Editor/Writer at HSLDA

“Working with Priscila Salazar has been a delight! Her attention to detail and love of language has been exceptional. Translating rhyming children's books is no easy task, especially with a pressing deadline. Priscila took it in her stride. Her commitment to honor our mission of generosity throughout the entire process was apparent in her own generous interactions — giving of her time, talent, and expertise. We highly recommend her excellent translation services and the depth of insight she brings to each project”.

Areas I specialize in:

  • Educational Materials

Teacher manuals, student workbooks, and training guides for children, teens, and adults — adapted to be clear, engaging, and culturally relevant. I like to step into the teacher’s voice and choose explanations that are simple and easy for students to understand.

  • Children’s Books

Short stories, educational tales, and creative projects where rhythm, beauty, and meaning must be preserved. Each story is like a delicate puzzle, and I love helping every piece find its perfect place to connect with young readers.

  • Parent Resources

Books and articles on parenting, education, and homeschooling, written to inform, inspire, and support Spanish-speaking families. This is an area I feel especially passionate about, because I am convinced that the way we raise our children can transform the world.

Do you have a translation project in mind?

Tell me about it in this form. If it fits what I do and excites me, I’ll write back to continue the conversation.
